PA STATE INSPECTIONS & EMISSIONS TESTING

Pennsylvania uses state inspections and emissions tests to determine whether vehicles emit harmful pollutants that damage the environment. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires an emissions test for cars, SUVs or trucks which were manufactured after 1975 and weigh less than 9,000 lbs.

The State mandates the conditions for some testing procedures. Others depend on the region where you live. It also matters where you have the PA state inspections & emissions testing performed.

You should bring your vehicle to the shop to have the problem diagnosed and repaired as soon as that light comes on.
